The LORD was ready to save me: therefore we will sing my songs to the stringed instruments all the days of our life in the house of the LORD.

Before I was born, the ultrasound revealed a large emptiness in my skull, where there should have been developed brain tissue. The doctor did not give my parents a diagnosis, but looking back, the symptoms point to a 100% mortality rate disease: anencephaly. What the doctor did tell my parents was, “If you’re praying people, I’d start praying.”

Praise the Lord, my parents are praying people. It was in this moment on his knees that my father said, “He may have trials, and me already have gone through his first, but he will be a man of faith; his name is Job.” On July 12, 2007, I was born perfectly whole.

There have been numerous times in which God has spared me from death, and much more spiritual death than physical. I should neither be alive nor saved. But praise God, I am both and want to spend the rest of my life serving Him.

I am nothing more than a trophy of God’s unending Grace, and I know if He could choose and love me, He can do the same for you.
